WHAT MAKES UP A SECURITY ALARM SYSTEM?

Control Panel
The brain of any security system is the control panel. It’s like the motherboard in a computer and is critical to the proper working function of your security system. All control panels are fitted with tamper switches and battery back up in case of power loss to the property.

Alarm Keypad
The alarm keypad is like the keyboard on your computer. Generally located near the main entry/exit to the property so it is easily accessible when you arm or disarm the alarm system with your 4-digit security pin code. Keypads are also fitted with panic switches and duress codes that, when monitored, offer greater protection to your family or staff!

Siren Kit
All alarm kits come with an internal electronic screamer and external siren with blue light that will also help with visual deterrent to potential thieves. External sirens are tamper proof for added security.

PROVIDING RELIABLE TECHNOLOGY

Motion Sensors

Motion sensors can be either cabled or wireless back to the main control panel. They are activated by changes in both temperature and motion in their field of view. Motion sensors are specifically placed around the property in order to capture an intruder as quickly as possible. When motion sensors are triggered they send a message to the alarm control panel that activates the sirens and if monitored sends important information back to the 24 Hour control room.

Smoke Detectors
Smoke detectors can be an added value to your security system particularly when your system has 24 hour monitoring. When activated they can send fire signals to the control room and then activate a predetermined set of instructions.

Remote Controls
Remote controls can be used with your security system to make life a little easier. You can use them to arm and disarm your system from outside your home, particularly useful when your hands are full. More importantly when you have your systems monitored they can act as a portable panic switch. As the control room receives the signal they can then contact the Police.

OUR ALARM MONITORING SERVICE

The Securetrac alarm monitoring service offers you seven channels of monitoring protection:

Burglary
The passive infrared Detectors in your system are designed to pick up the movement of anyone entering your premise without a specifically designated security code. In less than one minute we will know who you are, where your property is located, what part of the security system has been violated and alert the police or patrol units if requested.

Threat of Fire (if installed)
The Photo-Electric Smoke Detector that can be provided with our security system is linked to your main panel and monitored 24 hours a day, even if the alarm is off. This means whether you are home or not, your security system will be guarding you against the threat of fire. In the event of smoke being detected your system will seize your telephone line, send the fire signal to the control room and immediately dispatch the fire department (if requested by the customer).

24 Hour Medical Emergency
The Medical Emergency button provided with your security system will save you valuable time in a medical crisis. You only need to press the Medical Emergency button and our control room will immediately alert the Ambulance service. We will give them your relevant details, leaving you to attend to the emergency.

Extra Medical and Police panic buttons can be fitted to your key chain.

PROVIDING YOU WITH PEACE OF MIND

Police Emergency
If at any time you feel threatened for whatever reason your Police Emergency or Panic Button will send an emergency signal to the control room, which will then immediately alert the police. A must for cash businesses!

Hostage / Duress
Unfortunately these days the easiest way to disarm a security system is to force you to deactivate it. In this instance you are provided with a specifically assigned duress code, which will turn off your system as normal and report to the control room. This is the highest priority code the police can receive.

Late to Close
Staff theft is a major problem for every business and usually occurs after hours. We can notify you if your alarm has been opened outside of normal hours and can provide you with monthly reporting of open and close times and by which staff member (if requested by the customer).

Remote Arm
Have you or your staff ever forgotten to set your alarm? We can notify you if you forget and there is no need to double back to close up. With the Remote Alarm feature you can set your alarm via your mobile phone or touch key phone from anywhere in the world.
So you can relax and enjoy that hard-earned break!
